Components details:

All piping external to the test section is of PVC material. Injection flow is provided by a positive-displacement pump (at full reactor flows, i.e. about 0.63 1/s per nozzle) from a 0.757 m 3 storage tank into any number of injection nozzles (corresponding to the SLCS standpipe holes) by opening the appropriate ball valves (fig. 10c). The recirculating flow is measured by a nozzle insert and the injected flow by an orifice meter, both calibrated to an accuracy of _+ 2%.
